My Studio

Here is a photo of my studio. I love my studio because it is light and bright. Most of the time I don't need a light over my painting. I can see the Cleveland National Forest from the windows.

Fine Art Glass Pendants

I am having fun with making jewelry from my art. Under the glass dome pendants are tiny reproductions of my original art. The glass domes make them glow. I am very happy with how they look. I will only be selling them directly or through my Zibbet.com store. I won't be showing them at the Art-A-Fair. When I am at the Art-A-Fair, I am strictly a painter. You can find my Zibbet shop at http://www.zibbet.com/ElinorSethman I have them very reasonably priced at $11 each. That price includes a chain and a pretty box to store it in.

Sea Life *SOLD*

This was the March challenge in the Art Colony blog where I am a commentator. We were to do something different than we usually do. It was fun and a big stress releaser since I have been in the studio painting miniatures for some upcoming shows. Painting miniatures is really hard on my wrist and my eyes. I used light modeling paste over Arches 300# watercolor paper. I then wet the paper and applied the watercolors and let them run down the paper and into the grooves of the modeling paste. The colors that I used were ultramarine blue, cerulean, Winsor blue, Winsor green, and turquoise. The white that you see is the paper. I also used Impellist flourescent colors for the fish. There is some Prismacolor pencil in it too. Oh, on the bottom, I used a little bit of raw sienna. SOLD
